Jamaal Ryan has built his foundation working with individuals struggling with persistent mental illness. He began with internship at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital before following many of his patients over to his internship at Richard Hall Community Mental Health Center. He then worked as a clinician and team leader, housing those suffering from mental illness for Bridgeway Rehabilitation Services where he began his work as a post-grad social worker. Jamaal further developed his reputation working as a crisis clinician and supervisor at Rutgers University, and now works as a full-time therapist at Rutgers’ outpatient clinic in New Brunswick. In addition to spending most of his career working with acute mental illnesses, he has also developed an affinity in working with individuals struggling with relationships, couples and family counseling, individuals struggling with suicidal thoughts, and those suffering from acute and complex trauma.
